Due to weather conditions which brought as much as 6-10 inches of wet, heavy and drifting snow to the Mankato, Minn., area, Saturday's regular season football finale between the University of Minnesota Duluth and host Minnesota State University-Mankato has been moved to Sunday in Marshall, Minn. The two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference clubs will square off at 10 a.m. at the Regional Event Center, which is eqipped with an artificial playing surface and is home to Southwest Minnesota State University.

In addition, because of the unsafe travel conditions in the area, the
volleyball match between the same two schools scheduled for 4:00p.m.
Saturday in Mankato has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

In the 78-year history of it football program, UMD has had only game
canceled due to inclement weather and that was ion Nov. 2, 1991 when the Bulldogs' home clash with Minnesota State University-Moorhead was called off following a major snowstorm.
