The defending national champion UMD women's hockey team earned a bid into the NCAA Div. 1 National Tournament. The NCAA announced on Sunday, the Bulldogs will face the Wisconsin Badgers at the Kohl Center in the quarterfinals on Saturday. UMD earned one win and one tie against Wisconsin during the regular season.

In a surprise announcement on Monday, the UWS men's hockey team earned a spot in the Div. 3 National Tournament. The Yellowjackets fell to St. Norbert 2-1 in the Peters Cup final on Saturday. The loss dropped UWS to (16-12-1), which appeared unlikely UWS would receive an at-large bid. However, instead of the season being over, UWS will actually host Hamline Wednesday night at Wessman Arena. Faceoff is at 7pm.

The UWS women's hockey team, fell in the NCHA semifinals in River Falls on Friday, and did not receive an invite into the women's Div. 3 tournament. The Yellowjacket women finished the year at (13-8-7).
