Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) senior Jake Hottenstine and junior Brett Ervin have been named to the all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) men's basketball second team, it was announced on Wednesday.

It marks the second straight year Hottenstine has earned second team honors, the latest after he finished eighth in the NSIC with 15.7 points per game.

The senior captain broke double figures scoring in 22 of 26 games this year, and his average of 33 minutes played per contest was a team high.

Ervin, meanwhile, earns all-NSIC honors for the first time in his career after finishing first on the Bulldogs and sixth in the league with 16.2 points per game this season.

The 2010-11 NSIC freshman of the year, Ervin led UMD in rebounding and assists this season while also knocking down 47 percent of his three-point attempts, a mark bested by only one player in the NSIC.
