Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball players Kate Lange and Ashley Hinsch have been named Division II All-Americans by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA), it was announced on Monday.

Lange, who was named to the AVCA Division II All-American first team, finished the 2012 season with a career-high 569 kills, putting her at 1,424 kills through the first three years of her collegiate career.

The Hibbing, Minn. native has posted 10-plus kills in 67 consecutive matches for the Bulldogs, a streak dating back to Nov. 18, 2010.

She was also named this year as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) player of the year, the second straight season she's collected that honor.

Hinsch, meanwhile, was given honorable mention after leading UMD to the seventh-best attack percentage in Division II during the 30-match regular season.

The freshman setter recorded 1,133 set assists for the Bulldogs this season, already ranking 10th all-time in that category at UMD.
