UMD's McParland, Stalder are All-WCHA

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) junior forward Jenna McParland and freshman defenseman Lara Stalder have been named to the all-Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) third team, it was announced on Thursday evening.

McParland led the Bulldogs this season with 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 total points, while Stalder was the team's most productive defenseman with four goals and 22 assists for 26 total points.

Stalder was also named on Thursday to the WCHA's all-rookie team, that despite missing several weeks in the middle of the year to play for Switzerland at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
