Whitewater, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Brian Grand and Dan Baga scored goals on Wednesday night as the UW-Superior men's soccer team won the first-ever Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament game with a 2-1 decision over UW-Whitewater.

This is the first year the WIAC has held a postseason tournament, with league champions in year's past decided solely based on regular season results.

Matt Elder made seven saves in goal for the Yellowjackets, with the Warhawks goal coming midway through the second half to make it a 2-1 game.

UW-Superior is now (14-6-1) overall this season and will take on UW-Oshkosh for the WIAC championship, with that game set for 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 8 in Oshkosh, Wis.
