In D-3 college hockey on Saturday, UWS faced top-ranked St. Norbert College for the NCHA Peters Cup. The winner would also earn an automatic bid into the D-3 national tournament. But after trailing 2-0, UWS was unable to pull off enough third period magic. The Yellowjackets fell in the final 2-1.

St. Norbert College took a 1-0 lead in the first period, on a power play goal by Nick Tabisz. The Green Knights added a Johan Ryd goal in the second for a 2-0 advantage.

With under a minute to go, and UWS pulling their goalie, Derek Stauber put the Yellowjackets on the board. But that was all the offense, UWS could muster. UWS goalie Drew Strandberg made 20 saves, while B.J. O'Brien made 30 saves for St. Norbert College.

The Yellowjackets end the season at (16-12-1).
