Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior has still not officially announced who the head coach of its women's soccer team will be for the 2014 season, but whomever it is will have an uphill climb according to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) preseason poll of coaches and sports information directors.

The Yellowjackets were picked last among the league's nine teams, that after finishing the 2013 season with an overall record of (4-15-1) and a mark of (0-8-0) within the conference.

Hermantown, Minn. native Chelsea Cossin is the biggest loss of three starters from last season. She led the team in scoring each of the past three seasons, finishing her career with 24 goals and 11 assists for 39 points.

Athletic department officials declined to comment on Wednesday when asked about the team's coaching situation other than saying it's hoped a hire candidate can be announced in the next couple days.

The Yellowjackets first game of the 2014 season is scheduled for Aug. 29 against Augsburg.
