Naperville, Ill. (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior freshman Kenny McGee placed ninth on Friday in the long jump at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in Naperville, Ill.
McGee was one of nine jumpers to qualify out of the preliminary round to the finals, where his last jump of 22 feet, 11.75 inches was his best and earned him the ninth place finish.
The Yellowjackets freshman jumper was one of three UW-Superior athletes at the NCAA Division III championships, with seniors Katie Capriglione and Nils Hansen each competing in the weight throw.
