Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UW-Superior men's basketball coach Matt Siverling is one of four candidates for the head coaching job at UW-Eau Claire, his collegiate alma mater.
Siverling just completed his second year with the Yellowjackets, leading the team to a (14-12) overall record in the 2011-12 season.
A native of Ladysmith, Siverling graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2002 with a bachelors of science in kinesiology. He also held the role assistant coach for the men's program from 2004-07.
Siverling also has experience at the Division I level, having worked three years as a video coordinator at Arkansas and two seasons under Florida head coach Billy Donovan.
There is no official word yet as to when UW-Eau Claire will announce a hire for the open coaching position.
