• Duluth Native Kanewa Earns Big 12 Honor

  Norman, OK (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Oklahoma freshman gymnast and Duluth, Minn. native Maile'ana Kanewa has been named the Big 12 newcomer of the week, it was announced on Monday.

• Bulldogs Draw Badgers in WCHA First Round

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team learned on Sunday its first-round opponent in the first round of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) playoffs, with that being #4-seeded Wisconsin.

• Bulldogs Bid Adieu to WCHA in Shutout Fashion

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Saturday night marked the final time the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team would play a regular season game as a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), and the Bulldogs skated away with a 6-0 win over #16-ranked Nebraska-Omaha.

• UMD's Miller 6th at NCAAs, Named All-American

  Birmingham, AL (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore Chanel Miller placed sixth on Saturday in the pentathlon at the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships in Birminham, Ala., earning All-American status in the process.

• UWS' McGee 8th at NCAAs, Named All-American

  Naperville, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior freshman Kenny McGee placed eighth in the triple jump on Saturday at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in Naperville, Ill., earning All-American status in the process.

• Four Goal Second Lifts UMD to Comeback Win

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team scored four goals in the second period on Friday night in a 5-4 win over #16-ranked Nebraska-Omaha at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn.

  Birmingham, AL (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore Chanel Miller placed 14th in the women's long jump on Friday at the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships in Birmingham, Ala.

• Yellowjackets' McGee 9th at NCAA Meet

  Naperville, Ill. (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior freshman Kenny McGee placed ninth on Friday in the long jump at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in Naperville, Ill.

• UWS' Capriglione 6th, Hansen 15th at NCAAs

  Naperville, Ill. (NNCNOW.com) --- UW-Superior seniors Katie Capriglione and Nils Hansen were each competing Friday in the weight throw at the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships, but the duo had very different levels of success.
