Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica senior defensive back Alec French has been named an honorable mention NCAA Division III All-American by the Beyond Sports Network (BSN), it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

The Isanti, Minn. native led the team this season with a program-record 114 tackles en route to being named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) defensive player of the year. He also finished the season with three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks.

In the Saints' game against Martin Luther, he produced a single-game program-record 21 tackles that was good enough for ninth-best in NCAA Division III this season.
