Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica has narrowed its search for a new head football coach to four finalists and hopes to have a decision by sometime late next week, sports information director Jesse Robinson announced via email on Thursday afternoon.

All four finalists will be brought on campus for a final interview starting on Sunday night, and the athletic department hopes to announce its new hire sometime the week of March 24.

When asked for names of the four finalists, Robinson said the department has made a decision to keep that information private for the time being.

"After much discussion, we decided not to disclose the names of the finalists at this time for respect of the process, as well as the candidates involved," Robinson wrote in an email.

St. Scholastica is replacing Greg Carlson, the only head coach in its program's history, who announced his retirement this past January after leading the Saints to the past three NCAA Division III tournaments.
