Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Despite the rainy conditions, over 100 golfer took to Enger Park Golf Course on Saturday for the 6th Annual John Baggs Memorial Tournament to honor the late St. Scholastica head baseball coach.

Baggs, who is the program's winningest coach, spent 17 seasons with the Saints before losing his battle with cancer.

Now, six years later, his former players and the current CSS players gathered for the weekend to remember their late coach and friend.

"He always put family first and his baseball family was very, very meaningful to him," said tournament organizer, Tom Berrisford. "The way he carried the traditions of our program into the community really made people from all over really love and appreciate the things he's done. He touched a lot of people's lives."
