Patten is UMAC Tennis Coach of the Year

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica men's tennis coach Wells Patten has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) coach of the year, it was announced on Tuesday morning.

Patten earns the honor for the 13th time in his career, that after leading his Saints to break or tie program records in team wins (22), singles victories (123), doubles victories (67), and team winning percentage (.880).

He also became this year just the second coach in St. Scholastica history to have eclipsed 500 career victories, having done so with both the men's and women's programs. Only the late baseball coach, John Baggs, has more with 567.
