Rock Island, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica baseball team fell 7-1 on Thursday night to Buena Vista in the team's opening game at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional tournament, meaning the Saints are now one game away from elimination.

Austin Colvard had two of the Saints' four hits in the game, while Andy Davis allowed five earned runs on 11 hits across five innings to take the loss on the hill for St. Scholastica.

The Saints will now face Depauw at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and will need a win to stay in contention at the NCAA regional tournament.
