Saints Break Home Run Record, Beats 'Jills

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica softball team broke a program record for home runs in a season with 35 as they cruised past Northland 11-2 in five innings in the opening round of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament.

Duluth, Minn. native Molly Jazdzewski went deep for the Saints along with Ashland, Wisc. native Tiff Hudack who homered twice.

Chrisi Mizera threw a complete game shutout, giving up just two hits while striking out ten.

St. Scholastica will face off against Minnesota-Morris on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Kenwood Field.
