Saints' Lawson, Peterson Set School Records

Winona, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native and St. Scholastica sophomore Jeremy Peterson set a new program record on Saturday along with teammate and fellow sophomore Chris Lawson at the Saint Mary's Open on Saturday in Winona, Minn.

Peterson broke the school's discus toss record with a throw of 154'2" and finished in fourth place. He was also the runner-up in the hammer throw and fifth in the shot put.

Earlier in the day, Lawson took home the title in the 10,000-meters and set a Saints record with a time of 32:01.05. His teammate, Jacob Gallagher, finished as the runner-up.
