Saints Offense Comes Alive, Advance to Semis

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Brandon Nowakowski recorded a hat-trick and Tyler Bruggeman stopped 20 of 23 shots as St. Scholastica blew past Concordia 9-4 on Saturday night to win the series and advance to the NCHA semifinals.

The Saints were down a goal early before Bobby Lipsett knotted things up in the first. Brandon Nowakowski gave CSS the lead late in the period before he added two more in the second.

Paul Marcoux, Steve Phee, Joel Paiement, Alex Calenti, and Dave Williams all scored for the Saints.

St. Scholastica now advances to play Adrian College Saturday, March 1 for the NCHA semifinals.
