Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica volleyball team has been picked third in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) preseason coaches' poll, which was released on Thursday afternoon.

The Saints received one first-place vote in the preseason poll but finished behind prediction league champion Northwestern and runner-up Minnesota Morris.

St. Scholastica finished outside the top three last year for the first time ever under head coach Dana Moore but only lost one starter from that squad.

The team's biggest returnee is 2013 all-UMAC first team pick Kortney Morrin, who led the team in both kills and digs last fall. She finished second in the UMAC with 3.35 kills per set and also had 11 double-doubles for the Saints.

Below are the full results of the 2014 UMAC volleyball preseason coaches' poll, with a team's respective first-place votes in parentheses.
