Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica track and field's Kevin Wagner and Chelsea Johnson were named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athletes of the week after their performance in "The Opener" last weekend.

Johnson, who won the DIII Cross-Country National Championship, won a one-on-one dual with University of Minnesota Duluth's Sam Rivard in the 5000m on Saturday. The CSS senior broke a program record with her time of 16:59.49, over a minute faster than the previous mark.

Wagner, a Cleveland, Minn. native, broke his own program record in the heptathlon with 4,842 points last weekend. He won four of seven events and currently holds the highest number in DIII this season.
