Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica men's hockey team skated to a 2-1 win over Twin Ports rival UW-Superior on Saturday night, with the game marking the final conference meeting ever between the two programs and the win moving the Saints to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) semifinals.

Brandon Nowakowski and Tyler Miller scored goals for St. Scholastica, and goaltender Colin Rundell finished with 30 saves, some of them spectacular, in the winning effort.

The Yellowjackets' lone goal came from Michael Ray on a third period power play to make the score 2-1, but that was it for the visitors in terms of scoring.

St. Scholastica will now play at St. Norbert in the NCHA Peters Cup semifinals, with that game set for a single-game elimination on Feb. 23.
