Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Between the three St. Scholastica athletes competing at this week's NCAA Division III outdoor track and field championships, the Saints will have four shots at a national title --- and they intend to bring at least one home.
Senior Becky Huberty is the lone Saint double-dipping at the NCAAs by competing in both the hammer throw and shot put, while sophomores Kevin Wagner and Jeremy Peterson will compete in the decathlon and hammer throw respectively.
"Once you get into the national meet, I've seen it all," head coach Kirk Nauman said. "Anything can happen. I think Becky has the best opportunity at this point in time, but the other two in the future I don't think are going to that far off of being at that level at this point."
The NCAA Division III outdoor track and field championships are set to run Thursday through Saturday in Davenport, Ohio.
