St. Scholastica Beats Marian, Clinches Home Ice

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica men's hockey team scored two third period goals en route to beating Marian University 3-1 on Saturday to clinch the third seed in the Harris Cup Playoffs quarterfinals next weekend.

The Saints were down a goal until Alex Valenti tied it up in the first period. Dave Williams scored the eventual game-winning goal in the third, and Paul Marcoux sealed the deal with an empty net goal.

Tyler Bruggeman finished with 18 saves to earn the win for CSS in their regular season finale.

St. Scholastica (13-8-4) will host Concordia University next weekend in the quarterfinals for a two-game series.
