Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica's Tracy Roach, Kyle Jensen, and Rachel Miller have each been named an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) athlete of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Roach earns UMAC softball pitcher of the week in softball after throwing the program's first-ever seven-inning perfect game, that coming in a 6-0 win over Martin Lither.
It was the fourth overall perfect game in Saints softball history, with Roach striking out five batters and needing just 66 pitches in the win.
Jensen, meanwhile, is the UMAC baseball pitcher of the week after he came within four outs of tossing a perfect game against Minnesota-Morris.
Jensen struck out 12 batters in the winning effort, a 10-0 win for the Saints over the Cougars.
Miller is the UMAC outdoor women's track and field athlete of the week, that after breaking her own program record in the triple jump.
Posting a mark of 38 feet, 7 inches, Miller won the event at the Saint Mary's Open and now ranks sixth in all of NCAA Division III this 2013 season.
