Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Three St. Scholastica athletes have qualified for the 2013 Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, coming after an announcement was made Sunday morning.
St. Scholastica's Becky Huberty, Rachel Miller, and Kevin Wagner each earned spots to next week's championships in La Crosse, Wis.
Huberty is the first Saints track and field athlete to compete at multiple events in a single championship in the hammer throw and shot put. She is currently ranked third in D3 in the hammer throw and 20th for shot put.
Miller will make her second outdoor championships appearance in the triple jump. She's is ranked 13th overall heading into the meet.
Wagner is the first decathlete for the Saints to compete at the championships. He's ranked 12th among those in Division III and is second-best among all freshmen.
The NCAA Championships start Thursday at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse.
