Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica senior defender Logan Williamson has been named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America all-North Region first team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Williamson, who was also named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) defensive player of the year, led a Saints defense this year that allowed just eight goals during the regular season and only two in conference play.

She also led the UMAC with 13 assists this season and scored four goals, including one in the NCAA Division III tournament.

Also earning all-region honors were St. Scholastica senior forward Shannon Carlson, who was named to the second team, and senior midfielder Lauren Lynch and junior forward Kelsey Kehtel, who were each named to the third team.

Carlson finished the season third in the UMAC with 12 goals against conference opponents, with four of those working out to be game-winning tallies.

Lynch, meanwhile, played in all 22 games for the Saints this season and finished with three goals and three assists, including a marker in the UMAC tournament semifinals.

Kehtel, who was named the UMAC offensive player of the year, finished the season with a league-high and program-record 30 goals, part of a 68-point season that was the second best in team history.
