Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica senior defender Logan Williamson has been named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) Division III women's scholar all-North/Central Region first team, it was announced on Thursday.
Saints senior Lauren Lynch, meanwhile, earned third team honors while senior Maggie Dolan and junior Casey Mitchell each were given honorable mention.
Williamson becomes just the third St. Scholastica women's soccer player to be named to the first team, but this is the second straight year for the program after Andrea Beatt did so in 2012.
The Bloomington, Minn. native is a nursing major at St. Scholastica and carries a 3.45 grade point average. She was also a force on the field, leading the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) this season with 13 assists and being named the league's defensive player of the year.
Lynch is a third team selection after she carried a 3.59 grade point average while majoring in exercise physiology and playing in all 22 games this season for the Saints.
Dolan, also an exercise physiology major, carries a 3.50 grade point average and played the most minutes of any player on the Saints roster this season (1,768).
Mitchell, meanwhile, is a biology major with pre-medicine intended and carries a 3.98 grade point average while also finishing in the top six of the UMAC in goals (11), assists (7), and points (29) in league games.
