Hermantown overcomes windy golf day

In high school golf on Wednesday, 8 schools had to battle not only the sand traps and other hazards at Duluth's Enger Park, but also very windy conditions.

In the end Hermantown won both the boys and girls meets. The final team standings in the boys event: Hermantown won with a score of 320. 20 strokes behind the Hawks was Duluth Denfeld, followed by Superior, Cloquet, and Duluth Central to round off the top five.

In the girls event, Hermantown won with a 352 score, with Duluth Marshall finishing second, Denfeld third, Cloquet fourth and Proctor fifth.

Individually, Hermantown's Andrew Oakes was the medalist, firing a 36. Herrmantown's Callie Wilson took top honors in the girls meet, with a 39.
