La Crosse, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Ashland senior runner Bryce Miller used a last-lap kick on Friday afternoon to blow away the field and win the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division II championship in the 3,200-meters at the track and field championships in La Crosse, Wis.

Miller finished with a time of 9:35.39, besting runner-up Michael Christianson from Aquinas by more than four seasons.

The Oredockers senior has committed to run Division I cross country and track and field at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and he is scheduled to run again in both the 800-meters and the 1,600-meters on June 1 at this year's track and field championships.
