Bombers, Broncos, Cardinals, Rangers All Move on

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Barnum girls' basketball team snuck by Moose Lake-WIllow River and International Falls cruised by Virginia in the Section 7AA quarterfinals while Cromwell and Mountain Iron-Buhl stayed alive in Section 7A playoffs on Saturday.

Cheyanne Johnson led the Bombers with 27 points as Barnum beat the Rebels 63-61 for the third time this season.

The Broncos followed suit at Duluth Denfeld High School later in the afternoon on Saturday by ousting the Blue Devils 60-43. Cassie Tomczak was the top point-scorer with 16.

In Section 7A, Chelsea Swatek finished with 23 points to lead the Cardinals past the Polar Bears 64-55 while Lissy McCulloh's 18 points lifted the Rangers over the Vikings 57-37 in the quarterfinals.
