Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Anders Broman did plenty to garner attention while playing at Lakeview Christian Academy --- he was paid attention to by the media, college scouts, opposing teams, and fans from all across the state.

Now, he's going somewhere that will have considerably less buzz surrounding him --- Brookings, S.D.

Broman left on June 2 for summer workouts with the Division I South Dakota State University, a place he says will be nice because he'll be just another freshman.

"It'll be different not getting double and triple-teamed every game, but I'm looking forward to it," Broman said before departing. "I want to go out there and prove myself to my team and to everyone. I want to show that I can play at that level."

Broman left Lakeview Christian Academy as Minnesota's all-time leading scorer, having dropped 5,119 points for the Lions during his varsity career and led the team to two MSHSL Class A tournaments.
