Broman Nets ESPN Honor, Nearing 3,000th Point

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy junior Anders Broman was recently honored by ESPN as a high school basketball player of the week, that as he nears his 3,000th varsity point.

Broman scored 82 points in two games the week of January 2 scoring 43 against Northwestern and 39 against New Life Academy.

The 6-foot-1 guard is on pace to shatter the all-time state scoring record of 4,086, currently held by Kevin Noreen.

If he sticks to his current season average, Broman will become the youngest player in state history to score 3,000 points on Friday night as his team hosts Christ's Household of Faith.
