Mankato, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Three players had two hits on Thursday afternoon to lead the Cherry softball team to a 7-3 win over New York Mills, meaning the Tigers will play on Friday morning for the MSHSL Class A tournament consolation championship.

Angel Dahl, DeAnn Bjerklie, and Kirstin Lahti had two hits apiece and combined for five runs batted in in the winning effort, with Kacey Herring pitching six innings to earn the win for the Tigers.

Cherry will now play either Red Lake Falls or New Ulm Cathedral in the consolation championship, with that game set for 9:00 a.m. on Friday as Caswell Park in Mankato, Minn.
