Denfeld Beats East for First Time Since '95

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Senior goaltender Zach Thompson made 52 saves and the #12-ranked Duluth Denfeld boys' hockey team beat #6-ranked Duluth East 5-4 on Tuesday night, giving the Hunters their first win in the intracity rivalry since 1995.

Alex Thompson scored two goals in the the third period, including the eventual game-winner, as the Hunters improved their record to (11-4-0) this season.

The Greyhounds rallied for two goals late in the third period, but couldn't find the equalizer even with the goaltender pulled in the closing moments.

Duluth East falls to (8-4-0) this season after the loss.
