Denfeld Ousts G.R., Superior Ties Hermantown

(NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 16 Duluth Denfeld boys' hockey team got past Class AA's No. 19 Grand Rapids in overtime on Tuesday night while No. 2 Hermantown and Superior skated to a 2-2 tie at the Hermantown Ice Arena.

Thunderhawks senior Avery Peterson's goal put him past Aaron Miskovich as the school's all-time points leader with 201 points.

The Hunters tied the game at 3-3 with 19 seconds left in the game to force OT before winning it on a short-handed goal.

In Hermantown, Aaron Miller scored both goals for the Spartans as they forced overtime late in the third period against the Hawks. Neither team was able to score in the extra period.
