Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- An all-Duluth battle seems like the only fitting way to officially open the new Duluth East pool, with the Greyhounds set for the team's first meet in the team's new home.
Duluth East will take on Duluth Denfeld in a dual meet on Tuesday, with the action set to get started at 2:00 p.m. It will be special for all involved, particularly those in the water for either team.
"We're going to fill up those bleachers. I want to hit max capacity," Greyhounds head coach Lindsay Byrska said. "Everybody that swims in this pool on that day is going to set a pool record. All the winners are going to have their names up on the board for at least a week, so that's something the girls have been talking about."
The meet is the first of the 2012 season for both Duluth Denfeld and Duluth East, with another meeting set for September 15 at Duluth Denfeld's new pool.
