Esko Holds 'Coaches for Cancer' Benefit

Esko, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Esko boy's and girl's basketball teams were part of a special fundraiser on Thursday night, helping to raise money in the fight against cancer.

Billed as "Coaches Against Cancer," the event raised money for the Carlton County Relay for Life efforts through the American Cancer Society.

Pink t-shirts and wristbands were being sold, donations accepted, and the Eskomos coaches were wearing sneakers in support of the effort.

The Grands Rapids girl's basketball team beat 46-31 Duluth Denfeld on the road Thursday night, keeping the Hunters winless this season.
