Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Esko senior Savanna Trapp set a new all-time state record for career blocked shots in Minnesota high school girls' basketball on Monday night, but she and #3-ranked Esko fell 65-63 to #5-ranked Superior in double overtime.

Trapp entered the game needing two to tie and three to break the existing state record, and she finished the contest with four. The record-setting moment came late in the second half for Trapp, who now has 645 career blocks. She also finished with 16 points on Monday night for the Eskomos.

Superior led the game by three points with less than 10 seconds left, but Kallyn Knutson knocked down a buzzer-beating three point shot to send the game to overtime. After a deadlocked first extra session, the Spartans eventually pulled away just enough in the second overtime.

The Spartans were led by the 18 points of Jessica Lindstrom, with Alyssa Correll adding 14 points and Hailey Kontny ending up with 13.

Claudia Turner led all scorers with 19 points for the Eskomos, surpassing the 1,000-point plateau for her career in the process.
