Kenosha, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former Superior Spartan golfer Rob Kraft finished 67th on Thursday at the 111th Wisconsin State Amateur Championship, firing a four-day total of 312.
Kraft's best round came on the second day when he shot an even-par 72, but a final round 11-over par 83 pushed the former Spartan way down the leaderboard.
The 2012 champion is Madison's Brady Strangstalien, who shot a six-under 282 across the tournament's four rounds.
Kraft helped Superior to two WIAA state meets during his high school playing days, and this past year he competed in college at Minnesota State-Mankato.
