Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Two Harbors native and former Duluth Marshall Hilltopper Matt Morsette has committed to play college hockey for St. John's University this upcoming winter, it was announced on Tuesday.

Morsette has spent the past two seasons with the Duluth Clydesdales in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL), and last year he served as the team's alternate captain.

The winger was the SIJHL's most improved player in the 2011-12 season, totaling 30 goals and 30 assists while playing in all but two games for the Clydesdales.
