NNCNOW.com) --- Four Northland guys were taken off the board on Tuesday night in Phase II of the 2013 USHL Entry Draft, with those four learning their future temporary junior hockey homes.
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton freshman forward Koby Bender was taken with the 115th overall pick by the Green Bay Gamblers. He finished the 2012-13 season for the Lumberjacks with five goals and six assists.
Duluth East senior forward Alex Toscano was then taken with the 133rd overall selection by the Fargo Force. He totaled 18 goals and 29 assists to help lead the Greyhounds to a third place finish at the MSHSL Class AA tournament.
Former Hermantown defenseman Brian LeBlanc was taken with the 381st overall pick by the Chicago Steel, the same team that used the 411th selection to take Benilde-St. Margaret's Jack Jablonski.
LeBlanc played the 2012-13 season with Wichita Falls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), totaling two goals and three assists in 27 games played.
The fourth and final Northlander taken on Tuesday was former Duluth East defenseman Nate Repensky, who was taken with the 461st overall selection by the Lincoln Stars.
Repensky also played the 2012-13 season in the NAHL, skating in 37 games and totaling six goals and 21 assists.
