Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Grand Rapids junior center Alex Illikainen has been invited to the National Basketball Players' Association (NBPA) Top 100 camp next month, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
The camp, which started in 1994, is widely considered one of the most exclusive in the country and has had hundreds of campers that have gone on to careers in the NBA.
Illikainen, who is playing now with Howard Pulley in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) league, has yet to make a college commitment but is considered one of the top prospects in the country.
As a junior with the Thunderhawks, Illikainen averaged 25.5 points and helped the team reach the Section 7AAA semifinals.
This year's NBPA Top 100 camp is set to run from June 17-22 on the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville, Va.
