Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Grand Rapids senior forward Taylor Kane has verbally committed to play Division II basketball at Northern State University (NSU), she indicated on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

Kane retweeted a tweet from the Minnesota Stars AAU account congratulating her on the commitment, but she did not respond directly to a request for confirmation.

The soon-to-be Thunderhawks senior averaged 16.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this past season, helping her team reach the Section 7AAA championship game.

With her choice of NSU, Kane will be playing in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) along with the University of Minnesota Duluth, where her sister Kenzie just completed her freshman year.
