Grand Rapids Nabs Ninth at Class A Swim Meet

Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Grand Rapids boy's took home ninth place on Saturday at the MSHSL Class A state swimming and diving meet.

The Thunderhawks had two relays and one individual finish inside the top 10. The 400-yard freestyle relay team finished fifth, the 200-yard meter relay team finished sixth, and Andy Carlisle finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke.

Three other Northlanders finished inside the top 10 on Saturday. Virginia's Isaac Erickson finished fifth in the 100-yard butterfly, Hibbing's Jeremy Strom finished seventh in the 500-yard freestyle, and International Falls' Alex Hennigsen finished seventh in the 1-meter diving competition.
