Grand Rapids' Peterson Invited to Camp

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Grand Rapids, Minn. native Avery Peterson has been invited to participate in this week's Minnesota Wild development camp, the team announced on Monday morning.

Peterson was drafted by Minnesota in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, and he also was invited to participate in this camp a year ago.

The 2014 Minnesota Mr. Hockey winner and Nebraska-Omaha commit played his senior season for Grand Rapids last year, totaling 37 goals and 30 assists for the Thunderhawks.

The Minnesota Wild development camp runs July 9-14, with scrimmages open to the public at 2:00 p.m. on July 11 at Braemar Arena in Edina, Minn. and at 6:30 p.m. on July 14 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
