Grand Rapids' Viren, Justus on State Podium

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Both Grand Rapids senior swimmer Solveig Viren and junior diver Morgan Justus ended up on the podium on Wednesday at the MSHSL Class A girls' swimming and diving meet at the Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, Minn.

Viren ended up with a pair of runner-up finishes, those coming in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events. She had won the 100-yard state championship as a junior and was attempting to defend that title.

Justus, meanwhile, ended up third in the 1-meter diving competition while making her first-ever trip to the state meet.

CLASS A GIRLS' 100-YARD FREESTYLE
1. Abbie Dolan (Visitation) --- 50.31
2. Solveig Viren (Grand Rapids) --- 51.44
3. Kasey Milstroh (Foley) --- 52.20

CLASS A GIRLS' 1-METER DIVING
1. Bailey DuPay (Northfield) --- 397.55
2. Kylei Grosfield (Bemidji) --- 351.15
3. Morgan Justus (Grand Rapids) --- 340.75
