Greyhounds Fall to 16-Time Champion Edina

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth East girls' tennis team lost its MSHSL Class AA quarterfinal match 6-1 to #1-seeded Edina on Tuesday morning, with that marking the Greyhounds' first appearance at the state tournament since 1995.

Gates LeSavage won the only point of the match for Duluth East, that coming from the #4 singles position.

Besides being the #1 seed at this year's tournament, the Hornets also came in as 16-time defending champions as that program has won every Class AA state title since 1997.
