Greyhounds Set to Open New Home Field

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth East athletic program is getting closer and closer to opening its new home field, with the first contest at the school's new home scheduled for August 24.

The field is part of the school redistricting plan in Duluth will now be home to Duluth East's boy's and girl's soccer teams, the football team, and the boy's and girl's track and field teams.

In years past the Greyhounds have played home games at Public Schools Stadium, but the construction of this new complex on the school's new campus will again allow the team a true home field.

The first contest on the field will be a girl's soccer game on August 24 against Woodbury, with the first boy's soccer game set for August 30 and the first football game scheduled for September 7.
