North Branch, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth East girl's basketball team earned a trip to the state tournament Friday night with a 68-51 win over Cambridge-Isanti in the Section 7AAAA championship.

It will be the Greyhounds' tenth overall trip to state, but first since 2003 when they were the Class AAA runners-up.

The MSHSL Class AAAA state tournament seeds its top four seeds, with the other four seeds drawing random opponents, meaning the Greyhounds do not yet know their quarterfinal opponent.

The game will happen March 14, but the time of Duluth East's first game is still yet to be determined.
